Pupils at Coedcae School have been working hard to raise money for charity whilst improving their number skills. The Maths department along with year 8 pupils took part in a ‘Weakest Link’ sponsored competition on Tuesday 24th November. Over £1400 has been raised for NSPCC and Childline, with competitors being chosen from the pupils who raised the most money. Pupils tried hard to win the event with Jordan Lee and Shane Williams winning the first round and Yasmin Zerouak and Nia Jones winning the second round. Ethan Walley raised the most money with his sponsorship reaching £62. This year is the fourth time the event has been run by the maths department, and pupils have raised the biggest total yet, contributing to well over £4000 raised in the last six years.
